OVERVIEW:

Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment on customer vehicles. You will ensure our fleet remains operational, safe, and in top mechanical condition.

SALARY: $22.00 - $45.00 Per Hour Depending on Experience.

• Full Time: Monday - Friday

• Part Time: TBD

• Willingness to work weekends, overtime or on-call as needed.

LOCATION & TRAVEL:

​

• Shop : Reno, NV

• Mobile Mechanic Travel : NOT LIMITED To Reno, Sparks, Truckee, Tahoe, Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville and surrounding areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

​

• ​Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel trucks, buses, or heavy equipment.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.

• Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems.

• Conduct safety checks and emissions tests in accordance with DOT and company standards.

• Maintain accurate records of services, repairs, and inspections.

• Use appropriate tools and equipment to complete jobs efficiently and safely.

• Work closely with other technicians and supervisors to prioritize and complete tasks.

• Ensure a clean and organized work environment that complies with safety protocols.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree in diesel technology preferred.

• 1+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or in a related role.

• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems or Automotive systems.

• Proficient in using diagnostic software and mechanical tools.

• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

 

    While preforming the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

​

• Work in physically demanding indoor or outdoor environments during all seasons.

• Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).

• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  

• Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects and tools.

• Reach with hands and arms.

• Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or lay on back.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• ASE Diesel Certification or other relevant credentials.

• Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations.​
